Spitalfields City Farm was originally set up by volunteers in 1978 and we still rely on volunteers today to help maintain the farm and gardens, look after the animals and assist in delivering projects.
In short, without volunteers there would be no farm. If you want to help out, here is how you can get involved:
- Monday - Saturday (over 18) 10.00-4.00 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday availability click here to download an application form
- Sundays (13-18yrs) 10.00-4.00 click here to download a youth application form
Gardens: We hold gardening sessions twice a week.
- Tue. 11am - 2pm
- Wed. 11am - 2pm
Corporate Team Days
Located on the edge of the City of London, the Farm is an ideal spot for a team building work day. For further information on corporate volunteering please have a look at the corporate challenge page.
Volunteers help us deliver our education programme, both at the farm and in local schools. If you are interested in getting involved please contact our education co-ordinator Steve.
Volunteers help us maintain the farm. If you are interested in helping us maintain the farm and you are handy with a drill and a paint brush please contact our volunteer support worker
Make 'n' Mend Saturdays
Join us every Saturday for fun volunteering activities for the whole family. All ages are welcome to take part in traditional crafts, building and mending on the farm yard, and developing and maintaining our gardens. If you are interested in getting involved please contact Anya.
Volunteers also help us with other activities including general maintenance tasks, administration and IT support. Keep an eye out for these opportunities as they are advertised below.
